I always want to stop and walk through Dr. Evermore's world famous studio outside Sauk Prairie, WI. Every time I go it is a creative blast of wonder and inspiration.
The feeling that lives in that place is something to witness alone. The sculptures and sense of wonder on where the drive and shear material come from is staggering.
I really want to get out there some day in the early morning or late at night and strobe the sculptures to intensify the eeriness and run wild with some creative light drawing.
If you have never been, I seriously recommend stopping and taking a look. It is like nothing you have ever seen or witnessed. (its directly across from the old Badger Ammunition plant) which on its own gives off a very strange energy - It was the world's largest ammunition plant in 1942.
With all the textures, color and patterns it is a great environment to create surreal images that build creativity and push the boundaries to what can be found here on earth. It's a place for all ages and anyone and everyone can pull something different from this experience. Check out some of my images from last year here.
With some of the photos I am using multiple layers and textures from Flypaper Textures. A great hi res spot to add some creative fun patterns to your images.
