Taking a short 20 minute ride out to Lake Mills to jump on the Glacier Drumlin Trail is a great experience.
Heading west on the trail you spilt Rock Lake along an old rail road path before heading into what use to be a massive swamp.
You ride by an old mobster hide out, which is marked by a sign, informing you about how in the 1840s(? i think) their was a island hide out for mobsters.
Shortly after the mobster hide out, we took a right on Country Rd O to head up to the famous Kroghville Oasis. There we found the current owner who lives in his grandfathers old 1850s brick house across the street. The Krogville Oasis is a great local spot with several horse shoe spots, and plenty of out door seating. We are already planning another trip back there for a sunset ride, cocktail hour(s) and night ride back to the Chalet. Fun stuff.
We ended the night with a great meal, axe throwing and chilling with Mr. Sox the cat at the Chalet. Thanks Craig and Nina for a great day and night in Lake Mills.
